Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy is a collaborative process, and what it looks like will depend on your goals, circumstances, and preferences. Early sessions often focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to address. Over time, we can work together to identify patterns, explore your experiences, and consider new ways of responding to challenges.
-
There is no single timeline that fits everyone. We can discuss periodically how therapy is going and whether it is meeting your needs.
-
Sessions typically take place weekly or biweekly. We will determine the frequency together based on your needs, goals, and availability.
-
Not at this time. Sessions are held in person in Claremont, California.

I do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company if your plan offers out-of-network mental health benefits. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, so I encourage you to check with your insurer before beginning therapy.

I work with individual adults ages 18 and older. I have a particular interest in working with college students and college faculty and staff, as well as other adults navigating stress, anxiety, relationships, identity, and life transitions. You do not need to be affiliated with a college to work with me.

You can request a free 15-minute phone consultation to share a little about what you are looking for, ask questions, and determine whether working together might be a good fit. The consultation is an opportunity for both of us to consider whether my approach and availability fit your needs.
